Warriors of the Klingon Empire come to drink and sing songs of past glory

Short clip showing Polish Ulans, with one of my favorite song, "Ulani Hej Ulani". Paintings by Juliusz Kossak 1824-99 or his son, Wojciech Kossak 1857-1942. Vivat!

Maari, That I cannot answer as 'Ulani' is the plural form of 'Ulan' or Lancer in English. Additionally, the correct pronunciation spelled phonetically is, "Uwani" or "Uwan". The 'l' is actually the peculiar Polish 'l' with a diagonal hash line through the center pronounced as 'w'. And that concluded today's Polish lesson. Qapla'

I just have to note there was a Cardassian in DS9 named Ulani Belor. Hmm, I wonder how they came up with that one?

I hope this brings in a folkloric mp3, Oberek Opoczynsi, from my old Mazowsze lp. Watching this video and listening to the song with it I couldn't help thinking, "What sort of women could partner these extraordinary soldiers?" Come to check a video of this dance in perfomance on YouTube and you find the women lifting and tossing the men!!!
