Warriors of the Klingon Empire come to drink and sing songs of past glory

It was a glorious day for Day of Honor! K'Tor, Maari and I set up the
festival field at O'early this morning (I living on 2 hours sleep and
K'Tor on 3). Eventually others showed up. They were asked if they would
accept the challenges the day would bring of food, drink, pain and
besting the Bat'telh champion.

The competitions were:
Qavok
Bouillabaisse-ball
Pugel Stix
Hucker-hauser
Boasting
Protect your team Captain
Parmach (poetry reading).

In the protect your Captain one team must be the force field while the other team must hit the captain with the photon torpedo. Unfortunately
Josh made it into a running game but eventually both teams played it
correctly.

Interesting events, the Boasting became a "team" event and there were some interesting tales and the Parmach. The males were given 10 minutes to create poetry for their
parmachai while she threw objects at him (or beat him with
the Bouillabaisse-ball bats.

This was the first Day of Honor that was catered with food being provided by Panda Express. The meal consisted of Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef,
Beijing Beef, Mushroom Chicken, white rice, fried rice, steamed
vegetables, chow mein noodles and fortune cookies. There was not much
of the food left at the end.

It was a great day for Klingons, Cardassians and Bajorans...and those others. Afterwords was the victory celebration at Fuddruckers and the watching
the command staff slowly sink into the fries...

Qapla!

I missed a good event then, wish I known ahead of time I might have been able to attend.
