Thank you so much Martek
1) What made you choose a smooth headed klingon asto a ridged klingon persona?
When I joined my first Klingon Fan club, I was a teen in High School in Sharon Hill, PA. I had grown up watching reruns of the TOS and was always facinated with the Original Klingons, my heroes were the first 3 we ever saw. So when I joined my first club, which was a club called Mortas Te Kasse, I needed a uniform, and so the first uniform I ever had was on based on the TOS style uniform, though I did later do a Ridged style Klingon and did so for many years. Though I missed my TOS uniform, and so when the new movie came out I had decided it was time to once again go back to a TOS uniform. Also around this time I met Kishin and she always left a lasting impression on me, so when I did my new uniform, that image in my head was what I judged my uniform against.
On this note though, I will be working on a civilian Klingon clothing, that will have a ridged head, however this will be a seperate persona.
2) Have you ever gone to a convention where everythings gone wrong for you?
if so..how did ir go wrong and what convention...
Luckily this has never been an issue. The worst I can say is, due to the amount of people at the San Diego Comic Con, and being dressed as a Klingon, it can take a long time to walk across the floor, but that is to be expected.
3) What other hobbies, if any, do you have...
Well as the email I sent you, after I got your message, I just spent the weekend at the Escondido Renaissance Faire. Myself, and others of the Ring of Fire Fleet, such as K'han Den, K'Tor, Kayhlee, and Maari on here are also Pirate reenactors, we have a lot of fun when we gather.
4) Is there any part of the world your desperate to visit..and why...
I am of Irish decent on both side of my family and would love to one day go to Ireland. You can only go to an Irish pub here so many times. :)
5) who is your favorite star trek character..and why
I would have to say Kang and Mara are my favorite characters, Day of the Dove for me was the first time I ever saw a Klingon, and their manor had an effect on me.
6) What is your favorite klingon weapon and why...
Right now it is the TOS style Klingon disruptor I have. It is the first prop that I put together myself and painted, and had not bought it fully assembled and painted.
This concludes the interview..thank you soo very much for
